Overview
Portfolio Value-Creation Plan Tracker is a PlanMagnet concept for venture capital and private equity firms and the portfolio companies they back. It holds each company's value-creation plan as a set of initiatives, each with an owner, milestones and a target recorded as a key result, usually an EBITDA uplift, so the operating partner and the company's leadership follow the plan in the same place the work is planned.
In private equity, a value-creation plan is written during diligence and presented at closing, then tends to drift into a slide deck and an operating partner's spreadsheet. By the time the next board pack is assembled, it is hard to say which initiative is slipping, why, or whether the company has the people to deliver it. The monthly numbers live in one place, the plan in another and the staffing needs in a third.
The illustrated page sits under Projects for a sample packaging company, headed Value-creation plan with a badge counting the plan's months. A banner states that flags are suggestions with a stated reason and that changing targets requires deal partner confirmation. Tiles total the plan's EBITDA uplift, the uplift delivered to date, initiatives on track and open staffing requests. The table lists each initiative with owner, target uplift, delivered, next milestone and status: a pricing reset across the top SKUs, owned by sales leadership and flagged at risk; a procurement consolidation on track; a plant consolidation not yet started; an add-on acquisition owned by the deal team and pending conflicts clearance; and a working capital program measured in cash. Three cards close the page. The first gives the pricing reset's reason, a slipped start for the pricing lead with no analyst time booked, drawn from CrewFoundry capacity, with an action to raise it with the operating partner. The second, a margin gap drawn from the BigConsole portfolio console, reports a monthly pack with gross margin below plan. The third is a staffing request for a pricing analyst, marked sent to CrewFoundry.
The concept brings PlanMagnet's projects, milestones and daily at-risk sweep to portfolio operations, with a Daily sweep toggle and a Draft board update action in the header. Monthly actuals from BigConsole's portfolio console are designed to sit beside each target, and where an initiative needs operating-partner time, a specialist or a key hire, the staffing request is designed to go to CrewFoundry and come back with capacity and a start date. Flags only propose; changing a plan's targets stays with the deal partner and the company's board. Companies, owners and figures shown are sample data.

How it works
- Record the plan from diligence as initiatives, each with an owner, milestones and a target such as EBITDA uplift.
- Open the value-creation plan under Projects and read the tiles for plan uplift, delivered to date, on-track initiatives and open staffing requests.
- Scan the initiative table for owner, target, delivered, next milestone and status.
- Read the sweep's reason cards to see why an initiative is flagged and where the signal came from.
- Raise a flag with the operating partner, or send a staffing request to CrewFoundry for the missing capacity.
- Draft the board update, leaving any change to targets to the deal partner and the board.

Value-Creation Plan with Initiatives and Flags
This illustration shows a Value-creation plan page under Projects for a sample portfolio company, with a badge counting the plan's months, a Daily sweep toggle switched on and a Draft board update button. A sprint indicator sits in the top bar. A banner states that flags are suggestions with a stated reason and that changing targets requires deal partner confirmation. Four tiles show plan EBITDA uplift, delivered to date, initiatives on track and open staffing requests. The table lists five initiatives with owner, target uplift, delivered, next milestone and status: a pricing reset highlighted as at risk, a procurement consolidation and a working capital program on track, a plant consolidation not started, and an add-on pending conflicts clearance. Three cards close the page: the pricing reset's reason with a From CrewFoundry capacity chip and a Raise with operating partner button, a resin margin gap marked from the BigConsole portfolio console, and a pricing analyst staffing request marked sent to CrewFoundry.
